Confidence.

First, let’s break down self-confidence to the basics. When I researched this on the internet and found a psychology site on the subject, it said, “Confidence or self-esteem is how you feel about yourself and your abilities. You develop this from an early stage as you grow and interact with other kids and family members. When you have a healthy self-esteem, it means you value yourself as a person and you trust your abilities and your feelings. Confidence gives you the desire to push yourself forward to try and experience new things.

So, let’s talk about peer pressure. What does it really mean? If you look it up in Webster’s dictionary, you’ll find the definition: a feeling that you must do the same things as other people of your age and social group in order to be liked or respected by them. I’m guessing most all of you who read that said, “yep, that about sums it up.” When you read this, you might think the peer pressure is a bad thing because at times it can be. But, peer pressure can also be a good thing that helps one to grow. We’ll break this down shortly. Science says the brain isn’t fully developed until about the age of 25.

When I think of the multiple types of abuse out there, it saddens me to think about how hard it is to stop it. In the world we live in, there are millions more questions than we have answers for. It’s SAT season for our high school juniors.  Have them read our guide to help minimize stress when taking SAT test. In fact, have all your kids read it and watch their scores increase!

You’re probably reading this because you stress out before taking a test. When did the stress start? Was it the day before? The night before? The week before? Maybe the morning of? More importantly, why are you stressing? Is it an important test? Is it a major part of your grade? Do you need a good grade to get into a certain course and/or take your GPA to the next level? It really doesn’t matter what the reason is, as it will vary for everyone, because the stress is all the same.

The following article is designed to help you attract a date for the prom.

It seems to me the majority of teenagers in high school would like to go with someone to a school dance–Junior Prom, Senior Ball, or whatever the event is called at your school. I realize there are exceptions to the rule, where some have no desire whatsoever to attend one or any of the dances. I also realize that many others would like to go, but just don’t believe there is anyone out there who would like to go with them. This pattern of thought has been going on for many years, and my intention is to change that for as many people as possible by teaching you how to focus your thoughts in one direction.
